Where Jennifer stands
I love our students, and we need to do better for them. My candidacy is focused on three points.
Address bullying
Too many students still dread unsupervised time at school, or the bus ride home.
I'll push for clear reporting systems, accountability for repeat incidents, and training that helps staff intervene early.
Pull back on classroom apps
Every new app promises engagement, but too often it is nothing more than data collection and ineffective learning, leading to kids who can't sit with a book or a hard problem anymore.
I'll advocate for fewer, better-vetted digital tools and more time for direct instruction and hands-on learning.
Measure what matters
State testing shouldn't define our schools.
I want our district to prioritize curiosity, critical thinking, and well-rounded educational experiences, not scores on a spreadsheet.
