Jennifer's story
I've loved Moreno Valley since I was brought here as a child in 1986. I chose to make my home here and raise my own children here — I'm a proud graduate of MVUSD myself.
For over a decade I've volunteered in our schools: as a classroom helper, as Booster Club President, and in seats on school site council and district advisory council. In 2025, I was honored with an inaugural MVUSD Shine Award for that volunteer work.
My three children have very different educational needs. Together we've experienced Special Education classrooms, GATE classrooms, speech therapy, occupational therapy, mental health services, and bus transportation — and we've been through preschool, elementary school, middle school, and now high school in this district. Eleven years in, I've seen a lot of what MVUSD has to offer, and I've seen what's working and what needs work, firsthand.
